Common Questions

Do I need to have a functional medicine provider to join?

Yes. BIOFIT is designed for women who already have a provider managing their clinical care (labs, hormones, GLP-1s, prescriptions). We focus entirely on the lifestyle layer. If you don't yet have a provider, we're happy to point you toward resources for finding one.

Will Dr. Emily review my labs or advise on my prescriptions?

No. BIOFIT is a lifestyle and education program, not a medical service. Dr. Emily won't order labs, prescribe, or modify your clinical protocols. Your existing provider manages that. We help you implement the lifestyle changes that make those interventions more effective.

I'm already on a GLP-1 / hormone therapy. Will this program still be relevant?

Especially relevant. The women who benefit most from BIOFIT are already doing the medical piece and want to optimize what they're getting from it. The curriculum covers GLP-1 mechanisms, hormone support strategies, and the lifestyle factors that either amplify or undermine those interventions.

How much time does this require each week?

The curriculum is self-paced. Most members spend 2โ€“3 hours per week on modules and implementation. The monthly 1:1 call is 45โ€“60 minutes. The program is designed for people with real lives and limited bandwidth. not people who can make health optimization their full-time job.

Is this covered by insurance?

No. BIOFIT is a self-pay lifestyle program. It is not a medical service and cannot be billed to insurance. Some members use HSA/FSA funds. check with your plan administrator.

What happens after 3 months?

Members who complete the program have the option to continue in a lower-touch maintenance membership. Details will be shared before your program ends. There's no pressure or automatic renewal.
